Coyote Stories

If you're not already familiar with Gunnerkrigg Court, it's worth reading from the very beginning.

If you've ever had Coyote telling you hard is easy and easy is hard, you know what this song is talking about. It's called Shortcut - by Seanan McGuire.

My favorite bit:

'There's not a lock can bind you if you don't give it permission.
There's not a key was ever made that didn't want to turn.
You're free to wander where you will, there's only one condition;
This whole damn world's a lesson, kid, so make damn sure you learn.'

look at me i'm famous (again, sigh)

so m'lady and i went up for a lovely weekend with the inestimable madrone_red. friday night we got up just before sundown, driving up into the country for two hours till we reached Mt Franklin, an extinct volcano, which had been planted with pine all up the sides, and the middle was filled with birch, elm and other non-Australian trees. A little bowl of Northern Hemisphere in the calderra of a volcano! Our first time, but we will be back, thats for sure!

Happy Beltane all you Southern Hemisphere types! and Beware the Spooks! to all you Nothern Hemisphere folks too! (hope you -all- get some!)

If you can't get folks to tell the old stories about me, I guess I've got to sneak them in front of people somehow. This is a short play starring... me, of course:

Snack Time

It was produced in Santa Cruz, San Jose, and a couple of other places. Won a couple of awards in the 10 minute category as well.
It even got translated into Swedish for a production there for some unaccountable reason!

Enjoy!

[Trance]

Coyote gave me an assignment through my shaman mentor: a page and a half each reports on jackrabbits and coyote hunting habits. Coyote was eager to help write them (and I don't mean "help" sarcastically because he really did help, and I assume they turned out the way he wanted them to, so what do I care about the format?). He wanted everyone here to see them too.
